Harmony traveling through the walkways, as music lifts the spirits early in the morning.
Constantia Primary’s School choir is at it again! They’re practicing to perform at The Schools Arts Festival this year. This will be the 3rd time Constantia Primary has had the opportunity to perform at this event.
A part of the vision of Constantia Primary School is to “AIM HIGH” and the mission “to develop learners holistically through academics, sports and culture”. Through this vision, we aim provide each and every learner with every opportunity we can, to encourage their talents and capabilities. Mr Adams, the school’s principal, is extremely proud of how far the choir has come.
Constantia Primary School will be performing on 20 August 2024 at the Artscape. They will prove their amazing singing abilities in spite of the challenges that they face, such as no venue to practice in, learners travelling in from all over Cape Town and limiting resources. We hope that all who see this, would want to come and support us in making the dreams of our learners a reality.
Ms Ashleigh Siljeur, who is our head of music, feels nervous and excited to be embarking on this experience. As the assistant Music Teacher in 2023, she has developed to be an outstanding Choir conductor and Head of music at Constantia Primary in 2024, with the assistance of Ms Christa Ann Collison, who has been helping her get the choir ready for this huge opportunity.
We are blessed as a school, to have staff who goes over and above for our learners, but also we are blessed with this opportunity by PSG Asset Management who sponsors the music teacher at the school and we are truly grateful.
